Every time I open the extension in a new window in Firefox it opens off the screen and is not visible. I need to manually right click on the window from the taskbar, click move and use the arrow keys. I have this issue on PC and mac.
This is a driving me mad and I’m hoping there is a permanent solution/fix so I don’t have to spend time setting up a new PW manager.
I don’t know the reason it behaves like that for you; when I pop-out the extension, it always shows on the left of the right edge of the FF windows.
I have a “better” make-shift suggestion that you can try, though, if popping out the extension is what you are doing on W11. When you pop out the windows, it is the top-most windows which has the focus. I can do -Left arrow, and it will snap to the left edge of the screen. Grab the title bar and drag it down a bit will resize it back to the original size at the mouse’s position.
Hopefully, somebody will come along and suggest a more permanent solution.
You might try uninstalling the Bitwarden extension, removing its local files and reinstalling.
You will need to log back in (including MFA if configured) and you will need to redo some local settings, such as Biometrics, but your vault data itself will remain intact.
I just ran into this issue with Firefox and uninstalling didn’t work, but I noticed the Bitwarden (BW) window was flying off to the right edge of my right screen which is in portrait mode. I had a hunch portrait mode was the problem and I was right! I opened my display settings and changed the orientation of the screen to landscape (left the keep/revert box counting down), moved the BW window to be in the middle of a different (normally in landscape) monitor, then clicked the revert button setting my right side screen back to portrait.
Sadly not a permanent solution as soon as I closed the BW window and reopen it it went flying off into the void to the right of my portrait mode monitor. Annoyingly this doesn’t appear to be an issue with the Chrome (not my default browser) extension, so if you’re will to switch browsers then I guess that is a kind of permanent solution
Hope this is helpful to someone other than just me
