Hello,
after installing Mac app 2025.5 if see a new problem/bug (beside the font problem with Zero and uppercase letter O - New font in Bitwarden 2025.5 for MacOS)
The TouchID does not work anymore. After scanning the finger I get an error message (“unknown error”):
Hi there, if the issue persists after reinstalling both Bitwarden clients and disableing/renabling the biometrics/integration setting in both apps, please open a ticket with the support team so they can look further into the issue: Help Center | Bitwarden
I am getting the same problem after the update yesterday! I have Mac book Air 15 inch with my operating system fully updated. And I have unstalled the app and reinstalled it
Same here. Login with Touch-ID not possible. Same error. The macos desktop app. Deinstallation and new installation of the Bitwarden-app brings no change.
I got this message from the support: " Please turn off the Unlock with TouchID option, then log out of the Bitwarden desktop app. Then restart your device. After your device powers back on, and you log in to the Bitwarden desktop app, are you able to enable the TouchID option again? And does it unlock as expected?"
Of course it does not help, still same problem.
I wonder, does the “Other device LogIn” work? Here it does not.

Here the same, it does not help, still same problem.
Prior to this update both Touch ID and my Apple Watch were able to unlock the Safari plugin. After installing the update only Touch ID works - my watch doesn’t offer the double-click option to unlock any more.
Good to hear, @Micah_Edelblut, thank you.
I recommend to optimise the testing phase because not the first time we see such a bug (problems with TouchID).
@Micah_Edelblut :No, not here. I turned PIN off, and yes - I see TouchID instead. But it ends in the same error message. I tried different settings (PIN/TouchID/MasterPW on/off) but TouchID never worked.
