Unlock with Touch ID gone from Mac OS app

My Chrome extension now says I can’t unlock with biometrics in my device, and when I go to the Mac OS app I cant see the unlock with Touch ID option. Allow Browser Integration is marked. This all worked fine until a couple of days ago.

Just to make sure, is your laptop in clamshell mode (closed but connected to a dock)?

No. it is connected to a dock but open, as it has always been and worked just fine.

I just realized what happened. I updated my macOS to the latest Sonoma 14.6.1 and for whatever reason my Touch ID was disabled on my mac. I suddenly had no fingerprint configured and had to set it up once again. Once I did set up, Unlock with Touch ID started working again on both Bitwarden app and chrome extension.
