Recently (maybe since the last update?) Bitwarden is asking me if I want to save passwords on some sites every time I log into them. Even when I say yes to save - it asks me again next time I go to that site. Any advice on why this might be?

Could be you have the URI setting to exact instead of default match detection.

In the Bitwarden client, edit the record of the page you’re logging in to and it’s about half way down. Check the web page is just the base, i.e. https://example.com and not https://example.com/register?login
I have the same issue and my uri was set correctly. Did you figure out how to resolve?

Is your vault unlocked before you go to the login page? Please provide more details about your situation.
yes, I have it on lock on browser restart. Website set correctly yet it asks if I want to save on every website I log on. What am I doing wrong? Just switched over from lastpass
April 2025 … i’m still getting this error. very annoying. Is there a solution to this?

You can disable this behavior by going to Settings > Notifications, and unchecking the two options “Ask to add login” and “Ask to update existing login”.
