Firefox log in problem

When logging in on win10 desktop with Firefox extension, after 2FA with security key, BW immediately drops and returns to login box (BW ver 2024.8.1, Firefox ver 130.0). No problem on Chrome or win 11 laptop with same BW & FF versions.

I would suggest uninstalling, restarting the browser, and reinstalling the extension. If the problem persists, then file a bug report:

Just tried again and it works. No restart, reload or anything, so no idea what problem or fix was. Tks for suggestion

Problem was seen again yesterday, removed extension, reinstalled and everything seemed to work correctly. Today, problem is back, after authenticating BW drops and goes back to log in. One thing I noted, BW extension icon is blue before signing in, normally it is greyed out if not signed in. I disabled extension then turned back on, icon now greyed out and I logged in without problem. Any suggestion on what problem might be?

Version 2024.8.1 is experiencing issues with autofills (I know you didn’t mention this), and some users are reporting badge color inconsistencies similar to your experience. One “permanent” solution suggested by a user is to uninstall the extension, ensuring that all files in the extension directory are removed. This aligns with “Bitwarden’s” findings that they cannot replicate the bugs on fresh installations.

### Steps To Reproduce 1. Go to any site with a login field 2. Open the browse…r extension and log in, with the normal expected relatively long loading time 3. Click either an existing configured login, or click a login and select "Autofill" 4. Observe the "Unable to fill selected login item on this page" error message, for any page, on any website 5. Close the browser extension 6. Observe that the browser extension icon does not show the number of logins registered on this site 7. Open the browser extension 8. You can file a bug report (since your issue is related to login, not autofill), or you may choose to downgrade to version 2024.7.1 (disabling auto-update), as there have been no reports of autofill issues in that version.
