Since August 30 (yesterday), the Bitwarden extension on my Brave browser is not autofilling, even though the email link is in the vault. I have not checked it on Firefox.
I have tried to delete it and readding, and it works only for my browser session. Once I close and reopen it, the extension will not autofill.
What’s happened and when will it get fixed?
Some people are reporting the same on Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Firefox, with 2024.8.0 & 2024.8.1.

### Steps To Reproduce
1. Go to any site with a login field
2. Open the browse… r extension and log in, with the normal expected relatively long loading time
3. Click either an existing configured login, or click a login and select "Autofill"
4. Observe the "Unable to fill selected login item on this page" error message, for any page, on any website
5. Close the browser extension
6. Observe that the browser extension icon does not show the number of logins registered on this site
7. Open the browser extension
8. Observe that the browser extension takes the same time to load as it did the first time around
### Expected Result
Successful autofill on any site, especially sites that have previously worked on the same Firefox/Linux setup, and continue to work on other platforms (e.g. Windows and Android)
### Actual Result
Autofill appears to be broken, as does the Bitwarden extension's icon representation of the number of registered logins for a site, and the in-memory vault storage (perhaps relatedly?)

### Steps To Reproduce
Unknown how to reproduce, they just stopped working.
##… # Expected Result
expect to see autofill options in context menu and autofill from the extention to work.
### Actual Result
Bitwarden context menu has disapeared.
Clicking on login in the extention results in "unable to autofill the item" error.

Not sure if this is related, but I’ve started getting an issue with not being able to autofill in Firefox on Linux (Ubuntu 22). If I open the Bitwarden extension dropdown, it does find the right logins for the site, but it’s stopped autofilling, and gives an error when I try to manually trigger it using “Auto-fill” in the entry.
Not sure if something has changed in the plugin, Firefox, or in my own settings - I did turn off my Firefox passwords recently, but strange seeing someone else getting …

I just checked the extension on some of my logins on Firefox (129.0.2 - says it’s up to date), and it is working on Firefox. I believe that the Brave browser blocks cookies as its default. Could that be the problem, and does anyone know how to get around it? Thanks!
I had the same issue. Bitwarden browser extension (Edge on Win 10) stopped autofilling today and logged me out each time I closed my browser even though I had set it to Never. Yesterday I installed the android app and authenticator on my phone. I just uninstalled the android apps and the browser extension is back to working properly - autofilling and not logging me out.
