I reached my vote limit of 20. In order to vote on a new feature request, I deleted a vote. Even though I had now voted on only 19 requests, I was still told I had reached my vote limit. I tried deleting another vote, and was still at my vote limit. I tried signing out and back in. No change. How do I get the ability to vote again?
I have encountered this, too, but I don’t know a fix. Perhaps @bw-admin, @sj-bitwarden, or @AK3L4 can help…
Something is weird here. I have made ten votes, had not voted for anything new, when the forum about 12 hours ago started showing me I had reached my limit. Checking the list, it is still on ten votes.
Edit to add: This situation exists from two different devices, so it seems not to be a “have you tried rebooting” problem.
Same here. Something is broken.
I had around 5 votes remaining 2 days back and today, after not voting, it says "“Limit you have 0 votes left”.
When I list my votes I have 15 votes recorded including some votes that have closed so I removed those votes but it still says “Limit you have 0 votes left” .
The max vote total is now 4. I deleted my votes one at a time. When I got down to 3 remaining, I was able to vote. After adding 1 vote, I had reached my limit again.
@bw-admin
Four vote limit. Is this a bug or a plan?
Just created a new account and it has 2 votes so maybe the limit varies on trust level?
The rules still say 20 votes.
Hi everyone! Thanks for alerting us to this! We’ve been working on troubleshooting some unrelated issues on the backend of community and it looks like votes were reset to default in the process. I’ve just updated the settings so everyone Trust Level 1 or higher should have access to all 20 votes.
If you’re still missing votes, I would recommend first log out and back in and/or clearing your browser cache. If that doesn’t work, please let me know so I can take another look.
@sj-bitwarden Seems to work now (at least for me), but I noticed a different (related) issue:
When a moderator closes a feature request topic (because the feature has been implemented), it seems that the votes are not automatically returned to the users who cast them. I somehow had 22 votes, but 2 of them were for closed topics; I was unable to cast a new vote until I manually deleted 3 of my votes (including the two that I had cast in feature request threads that were subsequently closed as implemented).
Can you shed some light?
My account now has 8 votes remaining. I have 13 votes in the activity but one item is closed so 8 votes is what I expect.
Thanks for fixing.
They should be reverted upon closing (not resolving) of the topic. I’ve adjusted some of the settings so topics in that section should auto-close after an hour of being resolved, so I’d keep an eye out and see if it behaves as expected moving forward.
Maybe I am missing something but I just joined today and I am at “Limit” and need to delete votes… I have made 0 votes.
I had 1 vote, used it, the thing I voted on was implemented, now I removed it, and I still have 0 votes. Seems kind of strange I can’t have 1 vote on the community forums for a product I’m paying for. Is this really correct?
Did you log out of the forum and clear your browser cache?
