When I am creating a new account in a browser and need to generate a new password, I right click in the password field and mouse to BitWarden and click on Generate Password (copied). The problem is that the Options aren’t what I want and I can’t change them. I see this with different browsers (Firefox, Chrome) on different OS (MacOS, Windows). I’ve gone to the BW Browser plugin and the BW app and changed the Generate Password Options on all of the instances but I still have the Options I don’t want (14 characters and no special characters) instead of the Options I want (22 characters and special characters.
I am hoping that there’s a simple fix that I’m just missing.
Open the browser extension, click on the Generator icon (
) at the bottom, then configure your preferred generator settings. The generator will use these settings until you change them again.

OK - I was missing that I needed to use the extension icon.
That fixed it. Thanks
