Using autofill in Chromebook and vault is always "locked"

Brand new to Bitwarden, having migrated from Lastpass. Trying to use autofill on websites with my Chromebook. Every time I launch a site from within my vault, when I try to use the autofill feature, it tells me my vault is locked, when I moments earlier launched the website from within my unlocked vault. Must be user error. Can someone troubleshoot please?

Unfortunately the Bitwarden website and the extension lock and unlock separately. So the website was unlocked, but the extension was not. If you find the extension locking too often, you can change that in the settings.
