"Restart to Update" message at each startup

I’m having this behavior on multiple computers, so I fully expected to search and find other experiences. But I’m not seeing it.

After Windows startup (Win10 21H2, on two computers), when Bitwarden loads, it pops up a “restart to update” message as if it’s sensed and available upgrade. Perhaps it has. However, clicking Restart does not download or install anything, and the program just restarts again without the message.

I downloaded a fresh copy of Bitwarden-installer.exe and it’s still v1.33.0 today.

Mine has been doing this for a couple of months too, except mine is stuck on 1.32.1.

Choosing to restart in response to the prompt does not do anything.

Choosing the Check for Updates option in the Windows version also does not do anything.

I’ve just manually downloaded the installer to get 1.33… hopefully forcing update will be successful.
