Remove Bitwarden from the Firefox sidebar?

There is a Feature Request regarding this issue:

Option to disable/remove the Bitwarden icon/entry from the Firefox sidebar Password Manager

With the introduction of official Mozilla Firefox vertical tabs I would really like to disable the bitwarden sidebar. I prefer the traditional toolbar icon, which I would suggest many users do and don’t want to disable it. I realize this has been discussed before but with Vertical tabs this is now having two different launch points visible on the main Firefox UI at all times and you still have the autofill access method and the right click menu also. I understand some might prefer one method …
