This is a severe problem in firefox that began today with the Feb 14, 2024 update. I cannot use bitwarden extension at all, because, to put it bluntly, it’s completely fubar.
I’ll gather what I can do demonstrate it, a screen record would be best, but i doubt i could upload something that large.
Since I hate it when other people just say “It’s broke”, here’s actual info in the meantime. Not sure if I’ll do a screen recording as it’ll require blurring portions that would reveal partial info about my account obviously.
Windows 10 Pro v22H2 build 19045.3930
Firefox v122.0.1 64 bit
Bitwarden extension v2024.2.0
On starting browser, I was in a fully logged out state in bitwarden, which isn’t typical. Entered email address, entered credentials, it throws the error in the screenshot. Before these repeated failed attempts, initially it took me to the screen to touch my authenticator device, but threw the same error. Finally, the extension’s ‘window’ goes completely blank.
Hope this helps. I’m going to try removing and reinstalling the extension. So far I am still logged into bitwarden in another browser (Opera) so I’m keeping that open as a backup for now.
@anastrophe I moved your comments into their own thread, since your issue was not related to the thread in which you had posted.
There is a similar issue (“I is undefined”) that has been reported on Github (Issue #4076), and the work-around is to reinstall the browser extension, as you already did.
I just encountered the same “i is null” error on the latest version of the Firefox add-in. Re-installing fixed it, but I wanted to let others know that the problem is still happening.
I would like to thank you for the information regarding the installation and the reinstallation of the Firefox extension. I was deathly afraid that I would lose everything if I did that. For some reason only on Firefox for my laptot it just quit working. I checked both Edge and my phone and perfect. Don’t you love glitches? Thanks again
