BitWarden should good look in all browsers, at least the main ones.
The whole world is switching to Dark Mode. The Bradwarden website cannot be used in EDGE.
Some browsers (EDGE, Vivaldi, …) provide the option to use the website in SidePanel.
I’ll just show you the 2 available options. None of them are suitable for using the site in Dark Mode.
There are many ready-made examples in JS on the Internet “how to make a DARK MODE button on a website”. Yes, we will have to redesign the site for different color-scheme . It seems to me, that this method will make the BW website independent of browsers and DARKMODE-extensions. Although there are exactly the same ways to adapt a website to both color-scheme and without a button. In my opinion, the labor intensity is the same.
You just need to know what BW in EDGE looks like.
DARKMODE-extensions don’t work for SidePanel .
The second method, “high-contrast themes” is suitable in principle, because BW is a technical website, text only.
But the user will not enable this mode for only one BW site.
EDGE kills colors on any website in this mode.
The site BW itself must tell the browser which colors to use in the 2 color schemes.
EDGE-programmers can’t guess your brand colors in each scheme.
I consider EDGE to be one of the leaders among browsers in terms of speed. And it has built-in features for the older generation.
And this is always, for all companies, almost the highest priority audience of users.
