I wanted to log in to my web vault on Bitwarden Web vault and I am getting a red error notification that login/password is incorrect.
The same login works for my phone app. Is there a glitch / outage on the website now? I see this issue comes up once in a while, is there a solution other than wait a bit?
You mentioned the US server (vault.bitwarden.com). In case your account is located on the EU server (vault.bitwarden.eu), did you also try to login there?
Just to be sure: you are talking about your master password there (on your phone) - and not “only” an unlocking-PIN, right?
On the US server Web Vault (https://vault.bitwarden.com/#/login), I currently have no issues logging in from a Chrome browser.
On the phone app, are you actually logging in, or are you just unlocking the vault on an already logged-on mobile app? Do the authentication prompts on the mobile app ask you for your email address, master password and 2FA, and is there a button with the word Login, as opposed to Unlock?
Before doing any further testing or experimentation, it would be highly advisable for you to create a vault export from your mobile app, using the “.json” format — not “.json (Encrypted)” or “.csv”. You may need this if you lose access to your current Bitwarden account and need to start over with a new account (which is not entirely unlikely, given the symptoms you have reported). Please note that the exported file will contain all of your passwords in an unencrypted (plain text) form, so you need to store the file in a secure location (e.g., an external USB drive that will remain disconnected until you need it), and ensure that you have securely erased any copies of the file that may have been temporarily saved to your devices.
