this seems a bit silly
Steps to reproduce:
- lot out from this forum
- use bitwarden to log back in again
expected:
should fill in login/password
actual:
only fills in login, not password

I’ve just tested it and it autofills fine for me.
What do you have for the URI to match against? I have mine set to “https://community.bitwarden.com/” with matching set to “Host”.
I have default detection turned on. It didn’t autofill despite the setting being turned on. Now when I tried, I could repeat it multiple times by reloading the page and clicking the login button. Pressing shift+command+l would populate the name, and hitting a second time did fill in the password finally
Like Dan, I can’t reproduce your issue — autofill works fine here. I do recall that very rarely (maybe once every 100 logins) there is some glitch that prevents anything from autofilling on the login page; when this happens, I reload the page, after which autofill works again.
What operating system and browser are you using? What version of the browser extension is installed?
macos, brave, Version: 2023.9.1
My system is Chrome on Windows. Perhaps try Safari or a different browser and check if the issue is isolated to Brave?
failed the first time in Safari. I reloaded the page, then it worked. Closing the login modal and re-opening it causes it not to autopopulate, but this is expected since it’s not on page load. But Im wondering if it’s related to that.
reloaded the page a few times, and its intermittent. it seems if i click the login modal BEFORE the page is done loading, it will work. if I load this thread, wait, and then click login, it will fail
Personally, I don’t use autofill on page load, and alsways do on-demand auto-filling using Ctrl+Shift+L.
On the community.bitwraden.com page, auto-fill works fine whether I press Ctrl+Shift+L before or after opening the login form modal.
