Pasting password fails. Entering password characters one by one works

When I use the bitwarden browser extension to fill in the login form at this web site (it’a mobile phone carrier), only the last character of the password gets entered. The same thing happens if I copy the password and paste it in the password field.

If I type the password like a human being would, everything’s fine.

I guess somehow the website only enters the last character of a sequence of a pasted string. Is there any workaround you can think of?

In my experiments, the autofill worked correctly on the ho-mobile.it website if you first toggle the visibility of the password (by clicking the icon on the login form) before autofilling.
