Allow the end-user to make Show Password the default in their BW settings, on the browser extension, the desktop app, and the mobile apps. Typing a strong password “blind” is very annoying, especially for older users or anyone else who might be keyboard challenged. Having to always click the Eye before typing is also annoying.
Are you referring to the master password entry field on the Bitwarden app login forms?

Yes, and thanks for clarifying that part of my post. Whenever I login to BW with my master password.
This is a great suggestion and one I would use immediately. I am in a home office where ONLY I am present so a visible set of digits is not a security risk for me at all. The additional convenience would be a nice add to BW for me too!

Another angle on this is, if a user is frustrated with typing their master password “blind”, and tired of repeatedly clicking the Show icon, they may be tempted to simplify that master password. I have certainly had to fight that temptation. If the UI provides support for this issue by allowing the Show to become a user selected default, I think this temptation will be lessened a great deal.
I’ve changed the title to “Option to Make Master Password or PIN Visible by Default When Logging In or Unlocking”, to make it more clear what you’re asking for (old title was: “Allow User to Make Show Password the Default in their Settings”).
I also included PIN unlock in the revised Feature Request title, because it made sense, and because @OpSec’s comments mentioned “digits”.
