Seems like the previous feature request was closed when it was added to the Windows client but this issue still persists on Mac.
Original Request:
The Mac app closes when X is pressed, even when “Enable Tray Icon” is selected. In fact, the Tray Icon literally does nothing.
Ideally, with the Tray Icon open selected, closing the app should “minimize” the app into the Mac menu tray icon. Clicking on the tray Icon should display the app or, optionally, something like the browser extension menu.
Closed Feature Request:
Just installed Bitwarden to give it a spin. This is a tool that I would use all day, every day and it should just always be running in the tray even if I “close” it. (On another topic, even the minimize to tray is flaky). Pretty please add this feature and I will move to Bitwarden once and for all!

I don’t know if this describes the functionality you’re hoping for, but I added this feature request a little bit ago if you want to give it a vote: Full-fledged menu bar mode
