Can Log in on web browser, but not extension

Brand new user here. I am able to log into bitwarden.com on chrome. However, I am unable to log into the newly added extension. It takes all my info and then spins and spins but it does not let me in.

I have tried disabling the extension, closing the browser, reopen, enable but no difference. Any ideas what is happening here?

I think BW have a problem at the moment. I am getting intermitent syncing errors.

Just checked the status page and it reports service as “degraded”
