Can someone explain to me why using Arc browser i can’t use my passkeys stored on Bitwarden?
Arc browser isn’t even new anymore, so why don’t Bitwarden support it?
I’ve passkey for Discord, for example. I go to Discord.com try to login using passkey, but bitwarden window appears - it’s huge by the way, and there’re no passkeys, but if I do the same on Vivaldi, then it shows my passkey and I can login.
Just tried to create passkey for this forum and saved it on Bitwarden. Logged in with no problems, except huge passkey selection window of course. then problem is in Discord side??
So it’s no general problem and BW passkeys - in general - do work with Arc browser and the BW browser extension.
I don’t use discord, so I have no idea of their passkey implementation. – It could be their implementation… it could also be some kind of “incompatibility” between their implementation and Bitwarden…
PS: Well, wait…
Did you check on the browser extension on Arc browser, if
“Ask to save and use passkeys” is turned on (Settings → Notifications) and
“Discord” is not on your “Excluded domains” list (Settings → Notifications → Excluded domains) ?
PPS: And, you are on MacOS… as some reported, (my words now) MacOS and it’s passwords.app seem to be very “intrusive” and may also contribute to your issue… (see e.g. here and the following posts)
Ditto. Even if you have autofill turned off for passwords.app, I recommend deleting any passkey you have saved in that app if you want to have the passkey saved in BitWarden.
The same issue with ARC on windows + bitwarden extension. The pop up/dialogue to save the passkey just doesn’t come up at all. This can be reproduced on this link. Firefox works fine, but not bitwarden Yubico demo website
