Vault Timeout not working - LibreWolf

Hello there. I’ve been using Bitwarden for a while, but now for some reason, the “vault timeout” setting in Bitwarden appears to be broken. No matter what I choose, Bitwarden will always lock on browser restart. I tried re-enabling lock in the settings, changing the setting via the web portal, and even re-installed the extension, but nothing worked. If anybody has a solution, please let me know.

Hi @Gold-nice, welcome to Community!

I just tried myself (though admittedly I don’t normally use Librewolf) and I was not able to reproduce the issue. When I set the Vault Timeout to Never, it does respect that setting and leaves me logged in even after closing the browser and reopening. Otherwise, it sounds like the browser extension is behaving as expected - it should always lock or logout if you fully close out of the browser.

Hey! Just tried again today, and what’s even stranger is that the setting reverted back to “on browser restart” again, despite me being very sure that yesterday I left it set to “24 hours.” It seems like it didn’t save correctly, so I will try again today.

Are you doing something that clears out cached browser data when close the browser?

Hey! I do have “Delete cookies and site data when LibreWolf is closed” enabled, but I added an exception for “bitwarden.com” in there. Just for good measure, I did try disabling that toggle entirely, but it didn’t change anything.
