✅ Update the password font to improve legibility and remove ambiguity

The UI update looks great - however the font change is causing confusion for me.

Telling whether a character is 0 or a capital O is extremely difficult with the new font. This is the biggest pain point for me. Consider a password like this:
O0nrnm0lI1lI0dbqb100!

For a text-based platform, used to manage data that is often meant to be unintelligible - I would think a highly legible font with pronounced features would be of a high priority, avoiding these ambiguous characters.

Even if it’s just simply adding the slashed 0 (though I also think that adding a capital I with crossbars would be helpful) this update would help many of the users.

@nick.paolucci Welcome to the forum!

I agree that this is a critical design error in the new UI, and I raised this issue as feedback already in the beta testing.

Here is a screenshot that compares the previous font (which even had color coding for letters and symbols!) to the redesigned font (in which the characters are indistinguishable):

In addition to providing distinct shapes for different characters, the original font had the benefit of being slightly smaller in size, and having a lower aspect ratio — both of which contributed to ability to view longer passwords without having to scroll using the key.

The password font issue has been fixed (except in the character count view):

Also the color-coding in the password field should be coming back soon:

I will close this topic as completed. A separate feature request can be raised for font improvements elsewhere in the UI.
