I wanted to login on my Mac but was surprised that it is not possible for me, since I am using a Yubikey as a 2FA.
I read here, that it’s not possible since the MacOS desktop client is an Electron app.
For me that is a sign, that the technology is not suited for the client and should be converted to one which makes this possible.
While I would understand that a rewrite only for this feature would not be feasible, I can imagine that there may also be other benefits of ditching Electron.
