Spinning circle when unlocking vault

Hey @dinosm, thanks for the feedback. The team is working on a fix for the badge app icon. For the vault spinning, can you share more on your setup (browser, Bitwarden version) and if you’ve already tried reinstalling, and temporarily disabling other extensions to check for interference?

@dinosm yes the entire sync system and db has problems. I wrote up iOS bug over a year ago where the vault database won’t update or sync. It’ll be empty, and error on manual sync.

Sometimes, passwords saved in one browser profile (whether in a shared family or corporate vault) don’t appear in another profile, even after a manual vault sync. It seems the local database index can fall out of sync, and only a full logout/login refreshes it. Until then, items are often “missing,” which leads me to create duplicates because I’m unsure whether the original save worked. After logging out and back in, the duplicates usually appear, confirming they were saved but not properly indexed.

I think there’s been at least one category of this has been fixed because it’s happening much less frequently these days.

It’s still an intermittent occurrence, but now only with “sharing” areas. I’ll writeup a step by step if I can get it to reliably replicate but it’s usually either creating a new, or moving an existing private item to a collection. It’ll then never appear, till a full reset occurs.

Why write a better timeout/retry and user alert function. Just error and fail making the user deal with errors and extension cancels and force them to manually logout retype their creds over and over again.
