This issue pre-dates the 2024.12.0 UI design revision, so I’ve moved your comments out of the UI redesign feedback thread.
To delete organization items from a Bitwarden client app (browser extension, mobile app, Desktop app, etc.), you must have Can Manage permissions explicitly set for the collection that holds the item that you wish to delete.

Hello! Thanks for tagging me, @grb . Yes, the Can Manage permission has the ability to delete items. The “remove existing items” in the Can Edit permission refers to the ability to unassign items from collections. That’s good feedback on providing more clarity – we’ll work on getting that documentation updated!
