Hello all
I very often find while signing up to some site, with all their modern automated wizardry, after I’ve copied a generated pw from BW, something automatic will happen causing the pw I had just used to register to be overwritten on my clipboard by something else, losing the pw that was on it.
Now, I’m stuck here with a brand new account using a long, obscure, random pw that I have no way of using again to login to the site, or manually enter into a new bw saved Login.
Compounded with the way Android works (and likely Apple mobile devices as well?) where you have to switch back and forth between apps instead of them just being moved aside like in Windows for example, and the frequent problem where for inexplicable reasons bw doesn’t ask to save the new registration info from the browser like it’s supposed to do according to it’s settings, you’re SOL on that pw you used. A quick recipe for hair loss.
Now you have to instantly go through an additional process of “forgetting your pw” for the new site and resetting it, doing the email app + browser app + bw app dance, and hoping the same thing doesn’t accidently happen again with the newly reset pw sitting on your clipboard. Rinse and repeat.
A simple and elegant solution is just to have a “generated pw history” that stores the last, say 5 or 10?, pws generated by bw. Then it can easily be copied to your clipboard again.
In the bw apps all that would be needed in the generator area is a label: “History”, and a drop-down combobox populated with the last x number of generated pws. Clicking any pw in the list copies it to your clipboard. Easy peasy.
