It would be great if you could change the default view for the browser extension and desktop app to display the favorites list. This would increase efficiency significantly for those of us who use the favorites list.
Hi Alex, and welcome to the community ![]()
Once you’ve interacted with the forum until promoted to a “basic user,” you can vote for this feature:
You may know these already, but you can work around this by:
- On desktop, click “Favorites” under the the landed "All items”

@user321 Welcome to the forum!
Here is a possible work-around — in the browser extension Settings, go to the Autofill settings, and make the following changes:

So, what exactly is the purpose of Favorites, if not to make them easily accessible? I’m also a former LastPass user and I loved and frequently used that feature. I really miss having it in Bitwarden.
Thanks for the tips. After considering them and my typical use-case. I think my bigger gripe is with the desktop application. The times that I need to pull up the desktop app are when I’m logging into desktop software and therefore don’t have autofill suggestions at all.
I’d at this point re-state my feature request as “add favorites to the default view in the desktop app”
FYI, you have posted in the Ask the Community section of the forum, so this thread is not a formal feature request.
