Do the browser extenstions automatically update?

Just wondering if the extension in Firefox updates automatically, or it not how do we initiate an update?

if you open the extensions tab and click on dev mode, you should then see an option to force an update of extensions
e.g in brave

It is automatic you don’t need to anything about it.

The automatic update process is sometimes delayed, so if you want to speed up the process, follow @cyanide77 's advice (force an update by temporarily enabling Developer Mode and clicking “Update”).
