Discord App Keeps Asking for Accessibility

On my Redmi A3 with Android 16 when I open the Discord app, and click on the Use a password manager link, I get a Password Manager popup that says I must enable the manager in Accessibility Settings → Downloaded Services, with an Open Settings button that takes me to Downloaded apps. In that menu I select Bitwarden and see that the Use Bitwarden setting is already set to On.

I have had a long and twisted runaround following all sorts of search results, none of which seem up to date or correct. What can I do?

Hi @bradykelly which type of autofill are you trying to use? Can you let know if you’ve tried the steps in the videos here for inline or popup autofill?

@bradykelly Welcome to the forum!

In that case, when you opened the login screen on the Discord app, just choose Bitwarden’s “Autofill” quick-tile. I just tested it and it worked. (–> just follow the flow)

Alternative, you could also set up a passkey with Discord and choose “Log in with passkey”. That is even quicker.

PS: Especially if it still doesn’t work, then check your general setup of the Android app. We also have this community guide for that: [Short Guide / Tips] Autofill on Android

I don’t know what autofill the Discord app’s Use password manager command uses, if it even uses autofill, and if I bypass that and just open the login screen, I only get autofill for email. The guide doesn’t seem to match my menus, so I’m just going to go with a passkey like @Nail1684 suggested below, thanks.

As far as I can see: that is not a command, but just a friendly hint from Discord, that other autofill methods don’t work in their app and therefore only “accessibility” / quick-tile autofill can be used.

No, it’s literally a link that opens a popup when I tap it. But all of a sudden the autofill is working now, so some of the many suggestions I followed must have worked. Thank you anyway.

Autofill is now working, so something I did worked somewhere, Thanks for your help.

Yeah, but it’s just an info box about and hint where you can set it up. It’s not part of the autofill procedure to click “Use a password manager?” every time.
