Same here: I’ve only been having issues with Bitwarden since the last Chrome update yesterday.

When I click the Bitwarden icon, I need to wait 5-10 seconds before the “floating window appears.”

Updated to 2024.12.3 but the same issue persists. I really hope there is an option to revert to an older version.

extension takes a long time (5 to 10 seconds) to do any actions such as open vault and autofill. Really hard to do anything.

It seems, there are more and more reports, that the issue isn’t gone with 2024.12.3.

I looked into the corresponding GitHub issue again and some people mentioned, that it was “resolved” with using Chrome Canary. That might indicate it is not “only” the extension, but also something with the current versions of Chrome/Chromium-browsers?

For those who are affected by that bug - maybe try Chrome Canary (if you feel adventurous enough) - and, if it works, that might at least temporarily mitigate that bug? :thinking:

Thanks, I confirm that on my system (Mac, Chrome) version: 2024.12.3 did not fix the issue.

Slow since the recent upgrades that changed the UI. The disabling and re-enabling trick from this forum did change the slowness from 30+ seconds (or so slow I gave up) to ~10s, which (sadly) is still very much unusable (e.g., I can type passwords and usernames in <10s, the point is to use bitwarden autofill here).
