Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been unable to get autofill working. It was working until a recent update. This update suffered from a crash, so I removed it and went back one version and disabled auto update as per advice on another thread. More recently I’ve tried the latest version again, but still can’t get autofill to show anything.
I’ve tried various combinations of the auto fill service and accessibility toggles, all seem to enable as they should, but no window appears. I tried the advice in the troubleshooting page, but the settings on my phone don’t exactly match the suggested steps. In particular, Dropzone isn’t a single toggle but on or off for individual apps, and BW doesn’t appear in the list, nor can I find a way to add it. Any advice or assistance gratefully received.
Hey @hikernick, just a short first answer: some of the (mobile) browsers, like Chrome, changed something recently. - AFAIK, the next release of the mobile app will address that.
This was sort of confirmed yesterday when I went to open the accounts page in mobile Outlook, and a Bitwarden overlay appeared - so it’s a Bitwarden vs browser issue.
Thanks. I can confirm auto fill works again for me in Chrome. I can’t get it to work in DuckDuckGo though. On a website with normal username /password fields, no overlay appears. On a private page with an old fashioned password via htpasswd, I get an overlay, then an error saying bitwarden has no password in the vault for com.duckduckgo.mobile.android - as if DDG is not recognised as a browser. Are there any recommendations for DDG, or do I have to revert to using Chrome?
