Can't get authenticator to work

I just set things up to use the Bitwarden Authenticator as my 2FA. It works when I need to sign into my account on the web. But when I open Firefox and sign in to Bitwarden, it doesn’t ask for the Authenticator number. I signed in and rechecked under manage 2FA to make sure it was set up and it has a green check mark by the option to use Authenticator.

I have a similar issue except I use chrome. I use DUO for 2FA and it worked on chrome for years but stopped recently. I tried deleting it from Chrome and reinstall. Any thoughts.??

I got this response when I sent in a inquiry. But can’t say I understood it. See if it works:
"When using Bitwarden for 2FA, the ‘remember me’ switch remains active to ensure a seamless user experience. However, you can ensure that 2FA is required whenever Bitwarden is accessed on a new device by setting your vault timeout action to “Log out” on all devices where you want 2FA to be requested before every login attempt: Vault Timeout Options | Bitwarden Help Center "

There are likely two things going on.

First “remember me” causes Bitwarden to not prompt for MFA for 30 days. This can be reset with Deauthorize Sessions on https://vault.bitwarden.com (or .eu).

Second, “lock” and “logout” are not the same thing. MFA is not required to unlock a vault. If you want to force MFA, you need to logout instead of locking.
