Almost every password record i want to put in a password.
Say I have a Honda forum and associated with it is a email. It does not use the email to login but still there is a email associated with it. Currently I put this in notes. But Can I not have a default template that automatically upon creation of a new login have a field for email address associated with this login. I know I can add one after the fact by creating a new field and renaming it, but cant I have a template that just adds it.
And further, and most likly not available can i add a email field to all my existing passwords. As I say almost every password i use has an email associated with it. many are different emails.
When you want to create a new login item, simply search for this template item (or mark it as a “Favorite” to make this even easier), then click the “More Options” icon ( in screenshot below) and select “Clone” ( in screenshot):
You will then be able to rename the item (which by default is going to be named “.LoginTemplate - Clone”, if your template was named “.LoginTemplate”), and add all of the login information (including the email address).
You could potentially accomplish this by exporting your vault, processing the exported file, then purging your vault contents and re-importing the updated file.
This will be easiest if your vault contains no file attachments, passkeys, card items, identity items, any custom fields that are not plain text fields, or any customizations to URI match detection rules or Autofill on Page Load settings for individual items.
