It looks like when Bitwarden desktop on Mac is open but not active and/or focused, it can log a user out and put their cursor in the Bitwarden password field, which interferes with programs that use keyboard shortcuts. Also have trouble if the cursor is in the search field of Bitwarden, but that part might have been user error. I can see secure input disabling necessarily if we leave the cursor in the search field; however, when a user is automatically logged out, I believe we should have some way of keeping the cursor out of the password field, even if it means an extra tab later when we return to Bitwarden to login.
I start Bitwarden, login, and use and forget about it for some number of minutes. Eventually, Keyboard Maestro or a text expander stop working. And when I go back to Bitwarden, I see the cursor is in the password field (on BW vault login screen).
It may be that preventing the cursor from returning to the password field, or overlaying some elegant “click to enter password” button over the field and deactivating it, may resolve this behavior.
