Auto provisioning with Google Workspace

Hello,

I work for a company that uses Google Workspace (not Google Cloud Platform). I am looking for a new password manager that introduces the automated provisioning feature (SCIM protocol, unless there are others…).

I want that : when I create a user in Google Workspace, it automatically creates a Bitwarden account. Does Bitwarden support this functionality for Google Workspace?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @Julian_PETIT, welcome to community!

Yes, automatic provisioning is available with our Directory Connector.

Is there any chance Google Workspace will be added to the supported SCIM options in the future? This option would be much more convenient.

After doing a bunch of digging, I’ve come to the following conclusions:

I would like to counter @sj-bitwarden’s comment that Directory Connector supports automatic provisioning. If I am reading the docs correctly, Directory Connector supports the ability to automate provisioning on a schedule, but that is not automatic provisioning. Directory Connector requires a separate system to be available to do the work, whereas an SCIM integration, like that with Okta, does not.

So to bump @nemchik’s unanswered question, is it in the Bitwarden backlog to work with Google to add a Bitwarden app with automated SCIM provisioning? Not to poke the bear, but Keeper Security already has this app (source link needed to be omitted due to new user limit of 2 links, but it’s a click thru on my first link).
