Feature name

  • Image and file attachment preview

Feature function

  • Attachments (PDF and Images) should have a small preview in the list, similar to how a file explorer previews images

I found this thread from some time ago. It mentions attachment previews, but doesn’t describe that feature as a concrete use case.

Overall, the attachment system needs to be re-done. You could be able to drag and drop and view files without having to “download” them.

Definitely there is few things to improve with attachments

  1. Preview, but it could be security concern keep attached file in the browser tab. So i think will be good make preview self disappear after e.g. 30 sec
  2. Drag and drop is good to have
  3. May be move attachments to (or allow access from) inside the the item
