At-risk password warning shows up for duplicates

When I create a password and it double-saves (which anyways should be detected and not happen), both then get flagged as at-risk forever, which is very frustrating. It should also state why (i.e. duplicate detected) and let me never see the warning again for that password while nothing has changed, or let me merge all the equal passwords (i.e. for some site and its forums).

@Divide-By-0 Welcome to the forum!

Sorry, but I just closed this feature request for a few reasons.

First and foremost: feature request have to be about one specific thing only. Otherwise, it’s impossible to collect votes in a meaningful way.

Second, the “at-risk warnings” are meant to also show up for “duplicates” – or phrased otherwise: “re-used passwords” – in your vault. (see also: https://bitwarden.com/help/change-at-risk-passwords/)

Furthermore, there are two existing feature requests that may cover parts of your other ideas:

(Merging vault items, though, tackles a completely separate feature request: Duplicate removal tool/report (including merge))

If anything you want to suggest is not covered by those existing feature requests, feel free to open a new feature request. But please make sure it’s about one specific thing only, and search for a possible existing feature request before opening a new one.

PS: As e.g. written here and in the following posts, improvements are to be expected.

If the warning persisted when you even deleted the “duplicate” – that was reported before and a fix is on it’s way. (see here: "Change at-risk password" warning banner persists after deleting duplicate login item · Issue #18050 · bitwarden/clients · GitHub)
