Android App "We were unable to process your request. Please try again or contact us"

Hi,

I recently bought a new Android phone, but I am unable to access Bitwarden on it. I keep getting the error: “We were unable to process your request. Please try again or contact us.” I can access Bitwarden on my PC and tablet without any issues.

Some background: I bought a Zenfone 10 (Open Box), and it worked fine. However, due to a small scratch, I exchanged it for another Zenfone 10 (Open Box), and that’s when I started getting this error.

I’ve tried downgrading and upgrading the app, and even fully resetting my phone. I also deleted my account and used the new phone to create a new account (that worked). However, when I try to login, I received the same error. The new account works on other devices.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

You get suggestions about trying to connect via different methods including Wi-Fi, mobile data, VPN. You can check to see if any of those works and starts from there.

I’m experiencing the same issue.

The issue in my case only appens while using the new UI version. If I downgrade to 2024.6 using the old UI everything works, but using newer versions with the updated UI produces the error while trying to unlock the vault.

I’m using the f-droid version on GrapheneOS with a vaultwarden hosted vault.

So, in my case, what happened was I wrote to the support staff. They made a few recommendations, but none of them worked. Then one day, I tried again and was able to log in. I’m not sure if they did something on their end or if it resolved itself automatically. I tried asking if they made any changes on their end, but I didn’t get an answer. It took a good week for the problem to resolve itself.

I also only have this error after upgrading to the new ui version. I cannot connect to my self-hosted bitwarden through the app anymore. The Web Interface still works on my phone

If you are not on the latest server version, an update could help. The new mobile apps don’t work with “older” server versions.

I’m on the latest version of android app, I’m seeing this issue when trying to login “An error has occurred, we are unable to process your request”, where as the server (docker container logs says 200),
I’m able to login from browser on web, mobile and from browser extension.
Does any one know which older version of mobile from github works:
Releases · bitwarden/android · GitHub?

If you update your server version, the new Android apps should work again.

Hi, Thanks you for your reply, this woked,
I was on vaultwarden/server:latest,
for some reasons, docker daemon, did not download the latest image,
had to delete the image to get the latest server image.
