Since moving to Windows 11 I get a prompt when I click the Bitwarden extension icon: “Reload this page to apply updated settings on this site” with a reload button beneath the message. After clicking the button Bitwarden works as normal. What is causing this please? I an on W11 Home, using up to date Chrome browser Version 120.0.6099.217 (Official Build) (64-bit). I didn’t get this in W10.
@Raddersred Welcome to the forum!
I have never seen this. Could you take a screen shot next time that you get this message?
Please check this old thread see if the solution suggested there works for you:
I solved this by removing and reinstall Chrome. The problem then disappeared. Thank you for your help.
Hi Raddersred, I am getting this same message, starting about 1 month ago. I tried removing and reinstalling Chrome, but that did not help. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions. Not a big deal, but rather inconvenient.

Yes, It did not help!
What operating system are you on, what is your version of Chrome, and what version of the Bitwarden browser extension is installed? Is your account hosted on bitwarden.com
, bitwarden.eu
, or self-hosted?
In your browser, go to:
chrome://extensions/?id=nngceckbapebfimnlniiiahkandclblb
What setting is selected in the Site Access section (“Allow this extension to read and change all your data on websites you visit:”)?
Sorry, no further suggestions, reinstalling Chrome did it for me. Maybe try to reinstall the Bitwarden extension, or run Chrome in safe mode to see if extensions are interfering. Maybe turn off VPN if you use it. Sometimes anti-virus products interfere.
grb - Altering the extension settings to allow “On all sites” fixed the problem for me. THANKS for the help. Paul Keller
Right-clicking the extension, selecting “This can read and change site data >” and on the slide-out, selecting “All sites” and then reloading it once fixed the issue.
