Weird behavior, asking for master password for one item (when already logged in)

This is weird, and I’ve never experienced it before.

I have one item (login) that will not let me see or copy my password, when I’m logged into my bitwarden app, or when using the bitwarden extension in my browser. So, I’m able to log into my profile and from within the extension I can see that item (everything but the password) but just can’t view or copy the password. I get the following popup:

MASTER PASSWORD CONFIRMATION
This action is protected. To continue, please re-enter your master password to verify your identity.

Strange, but I enter the password anyway; but when I click OK it does nothing. Nothing happens. Same behavior when I’m using my Brave browser. So from within the desktop app (MacOS) or the Brave browser extension there’s nothing I can do to see or copy the password.

Fortunately, even though I get the same (redundant) request for password confirmation when I use my Android app, or Chrome extension (in Chrome browser), I can enter my password and it accepts “OK” and I can view or copy the password. But if I click on another item and come back to that item it asks me again for the master password.

It only does that for that one item. I can view all other items and passwords without incident.

IDK if this is a glitch, or that item somehow got corrupted, or what’s happening. Why is it asking me for my master password again when I’m already logged into my app? Why won’t it take my password?

Check your master password re-prompt setting for that specific vault item. See here for details on what that setting does.

Fanatastic. THat appears to have fixed it. THANK YOU! DK how that option was applied for this item.

I looked for something like that but couldn’t find it. Appears as though it’s only visible when I log in thrru the browser?

So that is fixed now, but there does appear to still be some kind of glitch in that the MacOS desktop app and the extension in Brave would not accept my password.

It’s there whatever I use (website, Chrome extension, iOS app). Unfortunately I can’t provide any assistance with Brave or MacOS as I don’t use either.
