As per the subject, I propose adding an option to choose seconds for the Vault Timeout. Currently, you can choose minutes, hours or “immediately”.
I believe 1 minute is too long. For instance, if you’re sharing a room/office space with someone, that will leave them plenty of time to walk to your workstation and access your vault should you have to leave suddenly (take a call, bathroom, etc).
On the opposite side, we’ve got “immediately” which is too short. Sometimes the auto-fill fails or the TOTP doesn’t get copied into clipboard. By the time you realize it, you’re forced to unlock the vault again.
You could set a longer timeout and then manually lock the vault every time, but that’s neither convenient nor practical (as we all forget things from time to time).
- To the vault timeout dropdown list add a “10 seconds” option
- To the vault timeout “Custom” option add an extra field to specify seconds
