Vault not syncing across all devices

I use Bitwarden from the Windows 11 desktop, a Chrome browser extension and on two iOS devices: an iPhone 13 mini and an iPad. I’m trying to understand why the vault is not syncing across all the devices. I created a new log-in entry using the browser extension and then manually synced the vault. Over a day later, I can see the new entry in the desktop app and the iPhone, but it does not appear on the iPad.

I’d appreciate any comments on how to ensure that a manual sync will be quickly implemented on all these devices.

The changes are usually synced to the cloud immediately. The change download is automatic but may take a number of minutes, probably happening as well on vault unlock. The problem is usually the affected client that doesn’t download the changes from the cloud, which is especially true if some time has passed. In the past, this was typically resolved by logging out on that client, and then logging in afterward. This may happen more often when there is a server update.

In the past two server updates, there were an unusually high number of reports of login failures, especially on mobile devices, which I suspect may have contributed to silent sync failures.

If you see a sync problem, try syncing manually. If that doesn’t work, try logging out (not just locking) and logging in. If that still doesn’t work, try uninstalling and reinstalling. If this doesn’t work, it is probably a server’s problem or a bug, and you may want to report it to customer service, etc. and Github appropriately.
