As of now, the vault filters are not persistent when you close and re-open the browser extension, so unfortunately, you’d have to set up the filter (Type:Login) each time that you open the browser extension.
The next best thing that you can do is to “favorite” your most frequently needed logins (Edit, then click the in the upper right corner, and save). “Favorites” are shown just below “Autofill Suggestions” when you open the browser extension.
After you have been using Bitwarden enough to get comfortable with it, I do encourage you to check out autofill. Besides just being convenient, it offers two security benefits – It only works properly if the URL matches, which makes it much harder to be fooled by lookalikes, such as https://g00gle.com. Also, your password is not on your clipboard so other (potentially malicious) apps on your PC can not see it.
You also might review this checklist to make sure you set up your vault securely and that you are prepared for contingencies, such as forgetting your master password.
