User created account thru invite link, verified email, but still says ‘invited’

I know this has been reviously asked but the symptoms seems to be different even thought the result is the same, user click the link it asks to Set a strong password user type the password twice and a Hint then click Create account it then says you have been logged and your account has been created in a green confirmation, it then send a 2FA code via email (this 2FA code doesnt seem to be for anything) it pops up a login window asking for email addressand password login works it sends a 2nd 2FA code which works but when logged in it is personal account and the user in the portal remains in the invited section. I have tried support all they have said so far is use an incognito window, and they said they have tested both workflows and they are working I even sent them a video demonstrating the issue. I have been using BW for over a year with multiple clients and have not had this issue previously and have tried today with 2 different client with the same result
