I use banking app which force me to enter my password everytime I need to access it “which is good thing” but bitwarden every time my valut is locked is force me to goto bitwarden to unlock the vault and leave me there without return me back to the banking and everytime I had to login to my bank account bitwarden force me to leave it and go to bitwarden which honestly is annoying and. Other password manager handle this precdure more conveniently like google and Samsung password manager just give me overly and prompt me to use my biometrics and that’s it, 1password and proton password manager just prompt me to enter my master password or use my biometrics to unlock the vault after that it immediately bring me back to the banking app I this bitwarden should implement this feature instead take me to bitwarden for authentication and leave me there it should just ask for my biometrics as overlay or my master password without ever forcing me to leave my current app.
The issue accur only if the vault is locked because I set to lock the vault right after closing the app.
You are obviously talking about the BW mobile app… right?
And you’re probably talking about Android then? (I mainly ask, because I only have an Android phone myself and couldn’t say very much to iOS…)
That is not my experience with the Android app. – To use a simple and concrete example: when I want to login to this forum on Brave, then I get a suggestion from BW, unlock my vault with biometrics, tap on the correct login item for this forum, and the BW app brings me back to Brave and fills in username and password.

Could you try the same with the forum so that we have a common example when can compare? (and describe it shortly here afterwards – same for you? or different? if it is different: what exactly?)
And additionally: Do you copy and paste the credentials usually – or do you use autofill via the BW app? But when you use autofill: I’m puzzled, as that should bring you back to the site then…
What I described before – how it works for me with Brave on the forum site… I tested this also with “Lock / immediately” as a session timeout. The BW app fills in and brings me back to the site, just as I described it.
I use Android and it work l exactly like you discribed it open bitwarden and give available logins for that form you choose one and it direct you back to the form but this slow down user workflow what I want is that the the suggestions show up on keyboard inline and ask for biometrics as overlay over the app in question instead of taking me to bitwarden this how every other password manager handle it
As I mentioned when the bitwarden I unlocked it work like expected and the suggestions appear Inline in the keyboard
