Trashcan not available in MacOS Desktop Client

Hi there,
Not sure whether this is a bug or requires an official support ticket but:
When I edit an item in the MacOS (Sequoia 15.1.1) Desktop client (2024.12.1 - 34750) of Bitwarden I don’t see the Trashcan in the bottom right corner where it is supposed to be.
This is for items in one of my own collections.

I already removed all data and started over but that didn’t change this experience.

Obviously I can go to the browser or Safari Extension but I’d like to have this functionality on my Desktop Client as well as I need to switch accounts between business and private and that is easier with the desktop client.

Regards,
Rob.

@rvaneerd Welcome to the forum!

I think there was a change that may be relevant here:

(–> Release Notes 2024.11.0)

Maybe also see this discussion: Why am I suddenly unable to delete org entries through the browser extension?

(assuming, what you experience has to do with this change in permissions… if this was a bug of the desktop app, this would have to be reported on GitHub… BTW, the desktop app is now on 2025.1.1, so you might also try to install the newest version)

Thanks for your response Nail,
However, those settings were already in place.
But digging in deeper I found the reason:
My (Admin) user was configured to be able to “Edit” but NOT to “Manage” :frowning:
After setting this “access to Collections (including items within)” I can delete the items without having to “Edit” them. :+1:

Unfortunately, this cannot be set system wide (being an Admin user) and I had to set this right for all individual collections. :frowning:

Regards,
Rob.

Well, that’s more or less what my screenshot from the release notes said.
