Trash TTL not working

Hey Trey, would below solution work, too, and would it be virtually risk free? Might be easier than downloading an old version and potentially corrupting my configuration, etc. (In case I forget to back up something.)

Would this restore everything to the previous state, including folder structures, etc.?

  1. Export passwords with items still in Trash (Backup A, excludes Trash)
  2. Restore all items from Trash
  3. Export passwords again (Backup B, includes Trash)
  4. Delete all passwords from vault (Trash and non-Trash)
  5. Import Backup A, delete Backup A
  6. Keep Backup B (which includes the trashed items)

That could work, but you’d lose any history (i.e. password history) for those items.

Ouch. Good that I waited.

It will be soon, he said, nearly a month ago, he said that. Any news?

A couple of things on this topic:

  1. The code that will start this function will go out in the next release, which should be this week.
  2. Despite the code being released, we are working on a time frame to actually ‘turn on’ the deletion, to give those who are using the trash as an archival tool a chance to recover their information before it’s deleted permenantly.

How about an “opt-in” offer for automatic deletion after 30 days?

That could work, but we’re trying to keep deleting an item true to its name, and dividing archiving/saving/ignoring items into a different feature.

To my surprise, my “Trash” is empty now. Nothing wrong with it, just a surprise.
