Transparency

I’m not sure whether a beta version of the extension was offered (like the android app was) before the new design, but the recent UI changes haven’t gone so well with me.

In the future, if Bitwarden decides to make any changes to the UI/UX, please put a prominent banner within the extension at least one release cycle before the planned changes take effect that advises the user that UI/UX changes will take place. Create a mechanism to allow anyone to test the new extension and provide feedback, just as Play Store has the join beta feature.

I don’t monitor the forums nor do I look at GitHub PRsregularly to see if these changes are coming. In the interest of transparency, people like me should be made aware of possible changes.

Finally, I apologize if there’s a mechanism to do what I’ve just described. If this is the case can someone tell me where I can find this.

Beta releases are generally announced here:

To provide feedback on the new UI, you can comment in the following thread:

Okay. But I don’t always want to be in the beta program. Just when major redesigns are coming out, like they’re right now. And i don’t think I should have to monitor the forums continuously to see when new changes are around the corner. Idk, maybe I’m being too demanding. But still, if there’s a banner inside the extension letting users know of upcoming major changes, that’d be great.

Open the Beta Programs category, then click the subscribe button (:bell: icon) in the top row, and select “Watching First Post”:

Then, you will receive an email notification whenever a new beta release is available (allowing you to choose whether to participate or not).
