Support saving new credentials without unlocking account/vault

It would be great to have the ability to create and save credentials for new accounts without unlocking.

Use Case:

  • register at a new website
  • click autogenerate a password
  • click save credentials

Currently, new credentials can only be saved if the vault is unlocked. Also, it would be great if this was a single click solution like with browser password managers, i.e. no detail page to review and save credentials, just save them.

FYI, while your vault is locked, it is impossible to securely encrypt any information that you wish to store (that is the whole reason for the “unlocking” process — to make available the encryption keys). Thus, if you want to save credentials while your vault is locked, you could just store them in a text file (that would be just as secure).
