Support multiple selfhosted accounts

Hi, I have been using bitwarden selfhosted for quite a while now and wanted to have some kind of backup instance if I am not in my home network and it goes down. I now have 2 public selfhosted instances but using both of them at the same time either in the app (ios) or in firefox (windows&macos) does not work. I can only set 1 account per “option” (bw.com/eu or selfhost). Adding a second selfhosted instance (with a different domain) just overwrites the first one for some reason.

I did see the feature requests for multiple accounts in general and also the release 2024.1.0 where this was added fo the browser but nowhere was it stated, that multiple instances for the same option (e.g. selfhosted) is supported.

Did I maybe just miss the option? Otherwise this could be a neat addition to the multiple account feature for everyone taht uses more than 1 selfhosted instance.

@Khalumar Welcome to the forum!

I don’t use self-hosting, so I cannot test this for you, but according to this comment and this comment, what you’re trying to do should be supported if you are using official Bitwarden server software (not third-party software like Vaultwarden).

If you are using an official Bitwarden server and you cannot add a second self-hosted account, then I would suggest contacting customer support and/or posting a bug report (“New Issue”) on Github. In either case, I would recommend that you refer to the two comments I have linked above (as evidence that this is something that is supposed to work).
